Roll-Ring® chain tensioner
The ROLL-RING® is a simple yet innovative chain tensioner made of a specially formulated polymer. The unique design is based on a simple toothed ring that can be installed to a horizontal, vertical or diagonal drive in a matter of seconds, simply by placing it between the two strands of the chain, it is also self-adjusting and maintenance-free.
When the driver is in use, the ROLL-RING® deforms to an elliptical shape due to compression between the wires and completely absorbs any slack in the system. The ROLL-RING® combines a tensioner and a damper into one, making it ideal for applications where maintenance is difficult or impossible.

Tensioning and damping
ROLL-RING® chain tensioners provide tension by:
-
Static tension from the elastic ring
Dynamic tension from the damping of the working material The ROLL-RING® provides as much tension as possible at low chain speeds and retains tension and damping capacity for higher chain speeds. The diagram below shows the tension of a ROLL-RING® chain tensioner and its individual distribution of tension and the effect it produces.
advantage
ROLL-RING® chain tensioners provide cost-effective, time-saving installation and maintenance.
Compared to other types of chain tensioners, the advantages are:
-
The ROLL-RING® can be easily installed where space is limited and traditional chain tensioners cannot be used.
-
The ROLL-RING® can be installed in just a few seconds.
-
Freestanding: No sprockets, bolts, plates, drilling, or expensive installation required
-
It can be used without any tools, tensioning equipment, or any further alignment or adjustment.
-
It is fully effective in both vertical and diagonal drives.
-
The ROLL-RING® works automatically, is maintenance-free and self-lubricating.
-
Can be used in dusty, dirty environments.
-
The ROLL-RING® is a combination of tensioner and damper in one, which reduces noise levels.
-
The ROLL-RING® also works in reverse mode.
-
ROLL-RING® chain tensioners reduce chain wear and improve the quality and efficiency of the entire chain drive.
